Join us on our exclusive tour to the Shedfest festival that visits some of the smaller winemakers in the Yarra Valley which has plenty of entertainment, food and wine to enjoy.
Every year, on the second weekend in October, the winemakers open their sheds for fabulous food, fine wine, live music and entertainment.
It is the perfect way to meander around the boutique wineries and savour great food, wine and music.
With over a dozen wineries should be participating this year, it’s the perfect way to enjoy local produce and the most exquisite local wines.
With expertly matched cuisine, wine tastings and music, you can plan your day progressing from appetizers to dessert with dishes around $10 - $25 to enjoy a range of food options at each winery.
Our exclusive tour will depend on the weather on the day and the outline of wineries have been listed below. We plan to visit four/five wineries and adjusted the wineries to be all different to Shortest lunch festival held in June.
We plan to visit 4 or 5 wineries on Sunday in our exclusive tour with the proposed route covering Helen's Hill Estate, (Whispering Hills / Seville Hill), Seville Estate and Six Acres Winery.
The price includes return transport from Melbourne, transport around our selected wineries and festival entry price for the day that includes tastings at each of the selected wineries and a complimentary tasting glass. All meals at own expense.

The venue is family owned and operated, classic Italian food prepared by the Chef individually to order and a pub adjoining the Bistro area. We have attended many times and enjoyed authentic food, reasonable prices and excellent service and has many wonderful online reviews.

End of Month Social Event in Melbourne CBDDr Watson's Bar, 417 Collins Street (between Queen St and William St), Melbourne CBD Join us for our end of month social event in another great venue in the CBD that we have visit every year and has great online reviews.
This bar is situated above our favourite trivia haunt, the Sherlock Holmes Inn that is a great spin-off from the pub below.
The venue is long room that has a theme of Dr Watson and Sherlock Holmes and has large tables at the front, an elegant bar in the middle and other chairs for sitting and dining. The social club has visited many times and enjoy every visit.
Just like the Sherlock, there is great pub grub and an extensive range of beers many served from the big pump handles with some traditional type English ales such as Hobgoblin, ESB and Old Speckled Hen to name a few.
It is a great addition to extend the ever-popular Sherlock Holmes and create Dr Watsons Bar in a similar style, so check out the Baker Street vibe with us.

In the early 1900s Melbourne, there used to be a waterslide that shot Melbournians into the Yarra River as part of the exiting entertainment complex and hence the name of the venue.
This bar is a luxurious watering hole with stunning views of the Melbourne CBD skyline and is a great place for drinks and a cocktail or two, with a fully stacked wine list and a range of craft beers. The venue has great online reviews for it opulent surrounding, great views, staff, food and drinks.
The is a range of pizzas that are similar to the pizzas at La Camera and dishes such as baked brie, antipasto platters, fried chicken, pork belly, calamari, pork sliders and seasonal salad.

Come and join the Melbourne Social Club for a social Melbourne Christmas Day Picnic Lunch in Queen Victoria Gardens and meet new people in Melbourne this Christmas. This will be the 17th year that the Christmas Day Picnic has been run and we expect over 100 people to attend, if numbers are similar to pre-covid years.
There will be no snow but a great place to meet others not participating in the traditional family Christmas in Melbourne.
Queen Victoria Gardens is very centrally located in Melbourne and is located opposite the Arts Centre and National Gallery of Australia (NGV) and is close to Flinders Street Railway Station.
Join the Melbourne Social Club for a relaxed Christmas Day lunch under a shady tree for a free event on Christmas Day to help you meet some new friends in Melbourne at Christmas.
Please bring your own food/drinks, picnic blanket/rug/chair, sunscreen hat etc. and outdoor games equipment - like a football to kick, cricket bat and tennis ball etc, if you wish.
Bring food that you can have for yourself or share with others. It would be also useful if you could bring a name tag as well.
Public transport is free on this day and uses the Sunday timetable.
The Christmas Day social group in Melbourne will be located under a shady tree directly opposite the Arts Centre where you can walk directly down from the Arts Centre Tram stop located on St Kilda Road.
